The food is amazingly delicious. The carpaccio is sooooo good, the roast squash is perfect and our rare steak is perfect rare.The staff were so nice and accommodating, my friends and I were on a time crunch and they really came through with getting us in, fed and out in the time we needed.I would definitely return and recommend the little ox.

Sadly, the restaurant no longer provides the quality or experience that Anthony Bourdain described. Perhaps our server failed to indicate to us how the items in the menu were identified as the ones cooked at our table. Nevertheless, the food is overrated; for example, only three medium sized scallops for $60, a lobster soup that had the consistency of jelly, and an overrated Caesar salad. I would like to note that every food plate arrived to our table at a lukewarm temperature instead of hot. In summary, save yourself $100 per person by visiting one of the many other restaurants in town that are rated HIGHER than Le Continental.

Definitely a ‘hole in the wall’ to try! It’s nothing super fancy but a good restaurant for date night, celebrating an occasion or just going out! I wouldn’t recommend the cocktails- not the best to be honest so go for the wine.The food was amazing. The seafood platter was incredibly large for a 1 person portion! Tasted fresh. The calamari was very large- bit greasy and that didn’t sit best in the stomach. SO when the salmon Wellington main came- it was hard to really dig in and enjoy it! But oh man- as leftovers, the large portion of salmon Wellington was so so delicious. The mash potatoes and veggies did taste a bit too buttery and sat heavy. Also- the pictures below is ONE entrée split into 2.Definitely not leaving hungry. Amazing service!Will definitely come back and try the halibut!

OMG. This was the most amazing restaurant in Quebec City. MUST have the Lobster Navarin. It was the most delicious dish I have ever had - and I have traveled all over the US and Europe. Lovely location. Our server and the manager were amazing. Can’t go wrong here. I would come back anytime.

This replaced Suzette. Same owners.We had a mostly great experience- not quite perfect, but very good. First, the service with our lovely Croatian server Stella could not have been better. She is knowledgeable and very kind. Service was prompt and very well-timed. We ordered the heirloom tomato salad and the côte de boeuf, which is for two and which weighs a very hefty 1.2 kg of grass-fed Alberta beef. With that dish we had two sauces and two potatoes- this was a massive amount of food and that included the outstanding complimentary bread and butter (bread from Yann's), so despite the rather hefty charge ($154 including tax and a well-earned 20% tip for Stella), we felt the that the money was on the plate.The outstanding dishes were the tomato salad and dining companion's pomme puree; in fact, I would have been happy with only those two things. The salad was majestic, with dollops of goat cheese that made it just perfect. The mash- stunning. Somewhat less successful was the beef and the potatoes I ordered, which were the pommes dauphine. I misunderstood what these were; they are in fact a mash that has puff pastry worked into them and then they are deep-fried; for all my experience with this, which is to say none whatsoever, it might have been done perfectly, but neither of us cared for them. The steak, which came with two (choice among four) sauces was delicious but a bit tough in parts- that's grass-fed beef and I did enjoy it but companion wasn't thrilled.I'll be back; that tomato salad haunts me, but I will try something different.

I visited this restaurant with my friends and we were all so impressed with the pizza and pasta. The portions were generous and the flavors were amazing.

I just ordered Québécois pizza and it was cooked to perfection. It's clear that the chefs take great care in their cooking.

I went with my adult daughters for a girls night. Food was great (especially the nachos!), but our waitress was amazing. Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but she was fast, informative and very entertaining. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.
